With Medium, The Ghost Whisperer, Decoding the Past and Psychic Detectives (not to mention a whole host of other shows related to paranormal phenomena), psychics have gone mainstream in the U. S. of A. What began as a fringe phenomenon has become almost as American as apple pie, and we are happy to report that psychics are becoming a respected, accepted part of our culture - and not just in California!
Last Sunday, the Psychics on TV trend moved east - way east - across the Atlantic to the UK, with the airing of the first episode of "Britain's Psychic Challenge." So let us be the first to say it:
British TV audiences consider yourself warned! Prepare for your very own psychic invasion! It won't take long... at least not if the U.S. trend is a model.
The UK series puts a series of psychics to a number of tests, then pits them against skeptics and lets the audience decide what is real and what is fiction. Over 2,000 aspiring psychics submitted themselves for the show, but a far smaller number were actually chosen to compete.

Let the Spirit of the Season infuse you not inflame you!
Challenges include determining the contents of a sealed envelope, finding a man in one of 50 car trunks and identifying the real criminal from a line up composed mainly of actors.
The series which started on Sunday night at 8pm is hosted by Trisha Goddard and runs on Britain's Channel 5.
